Tamas Brass Panchmukhi Hanuman Sitting Statue/Idol (8 Inch)
One of the highly esteemed manifestations is the formidable Panchmukhi Hanuman, characterized by five faces gazing in different directions, often evoking a sense of wonder in observers. Panchmukhi Hanuman, also known as Panchamukhi Anjaneya, is regarded as one of his colossal forms.
This form originated during a critical moment in Patala, where Hanuman, the son of Vayu, was entrusted with the task of safeguarding Lord Ram's life. Upon reaching Patala, Hanuman discovered that the only way to defeat Ahiravana, a demon whose soul resided in five candles, was to extinguish all five simultaneously. Thus, Hanuman revealed his Panchamukhi form, with each face oriented in a distinct direction. Together, they extinguished the candles and rescued the unconscious Lord Rama and Lakshmana from Lanka.
Each face of Panchmukhi Hanuman embodies a different deity:
-
Lord Hanuman: Offers redemption from sins and bestows peace, purity, happiness, and fulfillment.
-
Lord Narasimha: Worshiping Narasimha dispels fear, granting fearlessness and victory to devotees.
-
Lord Garuda: Positioned facing west, Garuda, the eagle, provides protection from negative influences, black magic, and malevolent spirits.
-
Lord Adivaraha: Varaha, the boar, situated facing north, mitigates the adverse effects of planetary movements and grants wealth and prosperity.
-
Lord Hayagriva: The horse-faced form, facing upward, grants knowledge, progeny, and liberation.
